“Poems are painted words the eyes have seen and the senses have felt, shared for the reader to visit themselves.”
Aleigha Nicole
A little known fact about me is that I write poetry. Read released work below! In 2020, I decided to start sharing some of my painted words for those who read to be inspired by, experience and enjoy. I couldn’t tell you the first poem I’ve ever written because I’ve always done it so sparingly since I was young. I even remember writing a song sometime between the ages of 8 and 10.
psst… Some poems have to be experienced by clicking its cover photo. Read thoroughly to know which ones.
The poem titled, “A Place Free to Be,” is a collective piece written with the help of those who chose to contribute a line or arbitrary words to be included within the poem and/or help structure the poem’s theme. I created the written words with what was given.
Words contributed to poem:
→ “laughter”
→ “all by my lonesome”
→ “if big booty bitch were free to be who she please”
→ “pink, breeze, taste, affirm
The following words didn’t make the cut, however, ironically fit the poem’s overall theme…
→ “blue, dog/s, night sky, milk”
→ “beautiful ballad”
